2007 - 2008 / 07-08 DODGE CALIBER EURO ALTEZZA TAIL LIGHTS - RED / CLEAR - LED

They year 2007 provided us with some wonderful performances from various players in different leagues of the world.

There were a number of big name players that did not perform as well as they would have liked for various reasons from loss of form to injury or even change of scenery.

The likes of John Terry, Petr Cech, Thierry Henry, Fabio Cannavaro, Samuel Etoo, Ronaldinho and William Gallas did not have stellar performances but were still nominated for awards and some like Terry and Cech were voted as the best in their position in the UEFA player of the year.

Perhaps the biggest fall from grace was by Adriano of Inter Milan but he was still 1 of the 50 players nominated for the European player of the year award much to the derision and laughter of people likes yours truly.

As for the 11 that I finally came up with, I tried to be as objective as possible and discarded those that had injury ravaged seasons and tried not to let reputations sway my decisions.

Goalkeeper

Gianluigi Buffon would have stood a chance but unfortunately he played most of his football that year in SerieB so I had to discount him on that basis.

Beppe Reina had a good year as did Craig Gordon before his move to Sunderland but I have gone for Iker Casillas without whom, Real Madrid would not have won the title last year as far as I am concerned.

He was just phenomenal and he had to be with Fabio Cannavaro having a nightmare and Ivan Helguera not knowing how to defend his goal.

Right Back

Daniel Alves had a wonderful year and recently Slavan Bilic hailed Vedran Corluka of Manchester City as the best right back in the world for which I can only say please!

Sergio Ramos is such a talented player that he is equally adept at right back and centre back.

Micah Richards was a revelation last season at right back as was Alan Hutton of Rangers while Massimo Oddo was good for a period of time but I have gone for Maicon of Inter Milan as he was head and shoulders above the rest.

Left Back

I had trouble in this position as no one actually stood out. Patrice Evra had a very good season as did Gael Clichy.

Massimo Tonnetto of Roma was very good for some spells but the likes of Phillip Lamm was not that effective mainly because at Bayern his position kept on changing due to injuries to other team members. Gilberto was excellent for Hertha Berlin

Urby Emanuelson had a very good season but I have opted for Eric Abidal for starring at Lyon, France and now Barcelona. Ironically the player I think is the best left back in the world; Gianluca Zambrotta played most of the time on the right where he is nowhere as effective.
